Then how to explain this built-to-withstand-a-bomb-blast item (just short of 1/8" thick at circular part: between 3/32" and 1/8")? Either it was made in those "used to" days, or its maker was out to prove that adage wrong. Here's a view of the item upside down: 13" inner diameter, 13-5/16" outer diameter, 16" wide with the handles, 3-3/8" height of circular frame, 4-5/8" high at the 4 projecting parts, which are 5-3/4" long. SPEAKING OF WHICH, WARNING: TWO OF THOSE 4 PROJECTING PARTS ARE DISCONNECTED. That said, the rest of this real-deal item appears intact. Core at the center is 2-1/8" inner diameter, 2-1/2" outer diameter, 3" high. The 12 serrated blades—held in place at slits in the outer (mind-blowing thick) part and with screws at the core on the inside—are 5" long.
